When it comes to upholstery – not only do we care about what we make – we care about how it is made! Our experienced staff uses only the best raw materials from soy based foam, cotton felt to certified hardwood frames.
Interior Designers bring their clients to Gresham House and know that no matter what size or style – Gresham House furniture is built to last.
Gresham House is a Bench made Upholstery Manufacturer. Each piece is made by hand by a single seamstress and upholsterer.
We use only the highest quality Environmentally sustainable Canadian Raw materials.
Our standard line products offer a vast selection for all members of the Design Community, but we can customize or pieces to suit your needs…..or have us start from scratch and design a custom piece just for you and your client.
It all starts with the frame. 1 ¼" thick solid kiln dried hardwood, corner blocked, dowelled, screwed and glued – only the best!
You thought that sinuous springs won’t last? The way we do it – they will last forever!
Out Upholstery is fully padded on the frame including the outside back and arms. No charge options such as welt or seam only, allows our upholsterers to flew their skills with each piece. Training or craftsmans is a top priority to allow them to create our designs (and yours) with great care and attention to detail.
Standard seat cushions are made with eco friendly foam that is extremely durable and wrapped with a soft fibre – channeled so that it won’t move around, finished in a cotton casing to ensure durability. You can feel the weight of our cushions – only the best!
For a luxurious sit, try our feather blend. 100% waterfowl feather wrap for seats with a foam core and 60% waterfowl feather, 40% fibre for our backs. For the ultimate luxury, choose our down fill (20% down, 80% waterfowl feather in the backs and envelope wrap seats).
All Fabrics we receive are reviewed by our expert staff to confirm pattern placements and other details to ensure the best final result. Our welt is cut on the bias and sewn individually, our experienced sewers sew the welt to the band and then sew it a second time to the casing… we don’t cut any corners! Every fabric is cut by hand for each frame, allowing the best results for the fabrics specified.
