Upholstery

Our upholstery is fully padded on the frame including the outside back and arms. No charge options such as welt or seam only, allows our upholsterers to flew their skills with each piece. Training or craftsmans is a top priority to allow them to create our designs (and yours) with great care and attention to detail.

Standard Cushions

Standard seat cushions are made with eco friendly foam that is extremely durable and wrapped with a soft fibre – channeled so that it won’t move around, finished in a cotton casing to ensure durability. You can feel the weight of our cushions – only the best!

Feather Cushions

For a luxurious sit, try our feather blend. 100% waterfowl feather wrap for seats with a foam core and 60% waterfowl feather, 40% fibre for our backs. For the ultimate luxury, choose our down fill (20% down, 80% waterfowl feather in the backs and envelope wrap seats).

Cutting & Sewing

All Fabrics we receive are reviewed by our expert staff to confirm pattern placements and other details to ensure the best final result. Our welt is cut on the bias and sewn individually, our experienced sewers sew the welt to the band and then sew it a second time to the casing… we don’t cut any corners! Every fabric is cut by hand for each frame, allowing the best results for the fabrics specified.

Limited Warranty

Manufacturing Warranty

Gresham House customer is the registered Designer who originally ordered the product. All complaints or requests for warranty service must include the sales order number, a picture of the issue, description of manufacturer's defect and must be resolved through the Designer from which the furniture was purchased.

Frames & Springs

Gresham House warranties against manufacturer's defects on our frames and springs, under normal use (*see below), for a period of 20 years.

Seat Cushions

Gresham House warranties against manufacturer's defects on our seat foam, under normal use (*see below), for a period of 7 years. Seat cushions must be rotated & turned on a regular basis. This warranty does not cover normal softening of seat cushions. Foam is considered defective when it flattens, losing its resiliency. Feather and Cloud Cushions require regular fluffing, compression of the feathers is part of their nature and is to be expected.

Back Cushions

Gresham House warranties against manufacturer's defects, under normal use (*see below), on our back cushions for a period of 5 years. Back cushions must be rotated & turned on a regular basis. Feather and Cloud Cushions require regular fluffing, compression of the feathers is part of their nature and is to be expected.

COM Fabric & COM Leather

Gresham House assumes no responsibility for quality issues of COM fabric and COL leathers. These are the responsibility of the Designer who specified. See Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Sewing and Upholstery

Gresham House warranties the sewing and upholstery against defect under normal use (*see below) for a period of 2 years.

Parts

Gresham House Warranties sofa bed mattresses, sofa bed mechanisms and swivel mechanisms for a period of 1 year.

Transport

Warranty claims which require transportation will be at Gresham House Furniture’s expense for 1 year. After the first year, transport costs would be the responsibility of the designer.

Transportation and delivery damage is excluded from warranty.

*Normal Use

Gresham House Warranty does not cover damage from abuse, misuse, negligence, accident, alteration, improper care or cleaning.




Terms & Conditions of Sale

Terms

  • Sales Orders must be approved with signature via email or fax.
  • 50% deposit required upon order confirmation to initiate order process.
  • Payments are accepted as e-transfer, Visa, AMEX, or MasterCard.
  • Balance due upon notification of order completion.
  • Bill of Ladings, for pick-up, will not be prepared until final balance is paid.
  • Issues in receiving payment will result in future orders requiring payment in full at time of next order.

Shipping

  • Designers are responsible for the pick-up & delivery of their orders & must advise in advance of pick-up date & carrier.
  • All sales orders will have a production date, this is simply a guideline, Gresham House will contact the designer when the order is complete.
  • All completed orders must be picked up within 2 weeks of notification.
  • Gresham House does not provide loading services. Please ensure your delivery company sends 2 people for pick-ups.
  • Failure to pay balance or to pick-up within 2 weeks will result in a Storage Charge per piece for a part or full week.
  • Loading dock hours are 7:30am to 3:00pm.
  • Gresham House bears no responsibility in ensuring that our furniture fits through doorways/openings for delivery. If concerns exist, please have a professional mover determine for this issue.
  • 1 inch variation in size is acceptable within industry standards.

Packaging

  • Furniture is shrink wrapped for white glove delivery unless otherwise specified.
  • Packaging for Transport is at an additional charge and a quote can be supplied as requested.

Cancellations & Changes to Orders

  • No order will be scheduled for production until all specifications are complete (finishes, fabrics, etc).
  • All changes must be signed off with written confirmation by the Designer, and changes may result in a change to the production schedule.
  • Changes made to confirmed orders will result in additional charges if raw product orders are made or order is already in production.
  • Fabrics orders are non-refundable.

Custom Orders

  • Custom orders will require a minimum of 12-16 weeks for production.
  • The Designer is responsible for verifying all details (including measurements & Sectional configurations) as being correct upon confirmation of order.

COM Fabric/Leather

  • Fabric/Leather must be received a minimum of 4 weeks prior to estimated production date, otherwise the order production will be delayed.
  • Gresham House reserves the right to inspect and determine the acceptability of fabric/leather for upholstery purposes.
  • Gresham House provides no warranty on Fabric or Leather.
  • Whether ordered by Gresham House or not, warranty is the responsibility of the specifier (the designer).
  • Gresham can supply fabric to designers at standard designer wholesale price plus 10%
  • Fabric shipping charges will apply
  • Gresham House reserves the right to refuse fabrics we deem not suitable for upholstery. If client insists, a waiver will be required.
  • Gresham House reserves the right to request certain fabrics be backed for upholstery. Designer can pick-up fabric to make direct arrangements or Gresham House Furniture may make arrangements on behalf of the designer with an additional charge.
  • COL (Customer's Own Leather) labour surcharge will apply.
  • Styles with integrated show wood: when upholstered in vinyl or leather, will require nail head for an additional charge
  • “Multiples Charge” will apply when specifying more than one fabric on an individual piece.

Exposed Wood

  • Wood species available include Maple, Walnut and Red Oak (standard species for each style are noted). Variation in grain is to be expected.
  • Variation of stain may occur and will appear differently on each species of wood......check our stain samples for confirmation.
  • Each piece of wood may take stain slightly differently as these are natural products
  • All visible wood on the various styles are solid wood (no veneer product is used unless specifically list).
